I was wondering how some of the volcanic activity from other planets has been observed. Are there specific missions or satellites that are used?
ReplyDeleteThere are specific missions. Currently at Saturn the Cassini probe is in orbit and is studying Saturn and its moon's. Mars has been inundated with orbiters, rovers, and stationary research platforms. Venus had several orbiters and landers sent by the US and Russia in the 60's and 70's. Though the landers only lasted a few minutes to due heat and pressure they still got aload of info. I hope this helped.
